Cause of Vaginal Odor

Let's start with the cause of vaginal odor.

This one is easy to figure out with a little research.

Some of the symptoms you could be experiencing are

  • Strong persistant or fishy odor
  • Itchiness on the outside of the vagina
  • Slightly white or gray discharge (not to be confused with a yellowish discharge) This could be a little hard to tell apart.
  • Pain
  • Burning sensation while urinating
  • Odor may be stronger after sex

What you may have is called Bacterial Vaginosis.

An imbalance or overgrowth of bacteria.

Get this, doctors don't really know what causes it (besides all the extra bacteria in your vagina) but it is usually associated with sex related activities.

Such as a new partner, or multiple partners or douching or wearing an IUD have been known to activate or agravate Bacterial Vaginosis or your vaginal odor.

Other than the odor, which can come and go, there are no real problems associated with Bacterial Vaginosis.

You may have tried to "clean" yourself with douches but this can just make it worse. It really never helps the problem.

One of the best pieces of advice I can give is to clean up your diet by eating less sugar and generally bad foods and just try to eat healthier.

You are not just dirty down there and no amount of scrubbing and washing or cleaning will get rid of the bacterial problem.

More later, but for now here is something fun (and a little dirty in a good way).

Smart Bitches Who Like Trashy Novels

is funny. They make fun of romance novel cover artwork.

Bye for now.
